Position: Social Media Manager - Temporary Canada Summer Job (9 weeks/ 30 hours per week)


Salary: $22/hour


Reports to: Executive Director


Responsibilities:

  • Develop social media strategies to support and communicate Not 9 to 5 brand values

  • Collaborate with team to create and repurpose content for Not 9 to 5’s social media accounts including Instagram, Facebook and Twitter

  • Manage Not 9 to 5’s social media accounts engagement to address community needs

  • Track and report on social media analytics on a weekly basis

  • Use content from social media and brand guide to develop Not 9 to 5’s newsletter

  • Create content calendar for all channels including social media and newsletter

  • Additional duties and responsibilities will be assigned as required within the scope of this position


Skills and Experience:

  • Familiarity and experiencing managing social media platforms

  • Proficient in G-Suite, Slack, Wix, Mailchimp, Planoly, Canva (or similar platform)

  • Experience creating and managing social media campaigns

  • Proficiency in social media analytics

  • Exceptional communication skills, including ability to create dynamic and engaging written, graphic and video content

  • Experience in hospitality and food and beverage service work is a benefit

  • An understanding of anti-oppressive principles and equity

  • Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Effective organizational skills and ability to accept direction and take initiative

  • Professional and able to work cooperatively with colleagues, program participants, and community partners
